I liked this book, but maybe that's just because I love parrots. I though it was very cute.
A really fun book to read aloud. The children will enjoy learning all about the characteristics, diet and behaviors of a parrot. Includes a pattern for making a parrot beak for the child to wear as an extension.
Very average book. Nothing that was wildly crazy and had a fair storyline. I could see how this book would come in handy if a study was on birds or if a child was obsessed with parrots
The "For Creative Minds" section at the back of the book would be very helpful for educators, librarians and parrots. This section is also available for download from the If You Were a Parrot homepage and includes:
Parrot Fun Facts and Adaptations
Make-a-Beak Craft
Are you ready for a pet parrot?
