In the UK at least,the attraction of the Allotment Garden Plot has seldom waned. Yes,much of the land which used to be available for this use has now been used by builders for housing and business parks. However with the present economic climate,the allotment is now once more on the up-and-up.
This book,in common with other in this series,shows on each double page an individual (or couple) of enthusiasts and their Allotments.To the left hand page are details (usually lighthearted) and on the show more opposite pages is a photograph of the particular plot.
I'm a great fan of this series of books,which indicate that the true eccentric is alive and well and living in Britain today. All power to them ! show less
