This is an old Innuit legend of Annuk who is never found after a great tsunami. A fisherman laters hooks something from the sea and finds that it is a skeleton. He is initially scared because it follows him home until he starts to ponder about who the skeleton was. His tears make the skeleton, who turned out to be Annuk, comes back to life. The language is quite simple without a lot of detail but the illustrations make the story more interesting. The overall theme is that love can overcome show more anything, even death. show less
A woman is taken by the sea, dies then is brought back to life years later by a man's tear. This story isn't interesting because it seemed to be missing pieces. I felt like the book skipped parts or put unnecessary information.
This book was interesting. It focused on Inuits that live in Alaska. A little girl was lost at sea. She becoame a living skeleton that lived at sea. A fisherman caught her and he cleaned her bones. His kindness brole the spell and she returned to flesh. Th message is how love and kindness can conquer all.
