I love the unusual story. Yes, adopted children wish to learn about their birth parents but in this case a child born of a donor wishes to learn of her father. Fortunately her mother helps with the process and he is found. Then the story begins. A lesson in love, culture, expectations and wish fulfillment. A delightful movie.

Nell comes to Emmett's book store for a reading of her first novel and they reunite after an unintended separation. Emmett is the heart of the town and Nell realizes that. I love Polaha's personality in this movie and enjoyed the story.

It was a delight to see Wes Brown have so much fun. This movie was over the top in regards to both Christmas and the HOA rules but that made it fun. A campy delight !

Eloise Mumford's portrayal of Professor Joss Lambert is so damaged and so touching that I just wanted to hug her. Her mother gave her the trip as a birthday present but I think she knew that only Cornwell would be a healing presence. It was wonderful to watch a movie without a lot of running around and depending on technology. It was calming and the story was life affirming.
