Colin Prior

This is a positively stunning book. I don't know the geological processes that gave rise to the Karakoram's interesting ... look, but Prior has certainly captured the results of those processes here. One can simply open this book and get completely lost in the landscapes, and the black and white images are as rewarding as the color ones, to my mind.

I have to note the great pains that getting these images took. Prior describes them in words early on.
