Okay….Here we go on another wildassed adventure.
A house on wheels, three mangy rednecks and a Wrestlemania road trip. I feel nothing can go wrong. ‘as I chuckle under my breath’
Some men never grow up, and Mike’s friends, Lonnie and Pork Chop are a perfect example.
They decide to take a shortcut and I know nothing good can come of that, but I sure am eager to find out what kind of trouble they find. They, literally, run into the “goat”, causing a crazy band of vicious, coldblooded show more cultists to chase them down.
Have no fear. Adam has a way of taking his flawed and twisted characters and turning them into lovable friends that come through at the end, but at what cost. He kills his characters off with no shame, probably laughing with glee as Another One Bites the Dust.
This action packed, fire and brimstone apocalyptic tale leaves me wondering…does anyone survive when the line between good and evil is blurred? Be careful…if you let pride…think you know it all….Arrogance is not an asset.
One minute I felt the truth of it all and the next I felt I was in hell with Sam and Dean Winchester.
Adam Howe shattered my expectations, leaving me loving and hating Mike and his band of misfits…and looking forward to their next twisted adventure.

Die Dog or Eat the Hatchet is a book of three horror novellas that really takes you on a ride...and what a wild ride it is!
Damn Dirty Apes is a little yarn about a washed up boxer turned bouncer, who reluctantly joins the hunt for a skunk ape, a local legend (sort of like Bigfoot, but much more stinky, apparently). This one was pretty funny and suspenseful at the same time. I could totally see it as a movie on the SyFy Channel. Yeah, I have a thing for those movies. What can I say...
In Die show more Dog or Eat the Hatchet, we get a bit of The Deliberate Stranger mixed in with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, or maybe Wrong Turn. I haven't decided yet. Just when you think Ted Bundy emulator, Terrence Hingle is the worst ever, here come the Ritter brothers. Who is worse? Well, you'll have to read to find out. Let me just say that if you like the afore mentioned movies, then this is the story for you.
Gator Bait is the final novella and what a finale. Hammond has a thing for the ladies, but after his latest encounter with the husband, he is sworn off dames until...would that he had listened to himself. Finding himself working for a backwoods mafioso with a giant gator for muscle, he soon finds himself ignoring his own advice about messing with dames. His boss has a looker of a wife, and she's a damsel in distress. Men. Try thinking with the right head. Might not be a bad idea.
This trio of novellas is damn good pulp fiction/horror. The stories are quite graphic and twisted, but any lover of horror worth their salt will recognize the brilliance in this book. Damn fine writing too.

Adam Howe’s writing is so over the top, backwoods swamp honky tonk, upchucking, hilariously, side splitting funny, I am almost embarassed to say that I LOVE IT!
I am happy to be back with Reggie in the shithole strip club he bounces at. His life is one bad thing after another and I laugh my way through each adventure.
I don’t know how to describe this raunchy, uncouth, crude, twisted story, but, maybe, Southern pulp fiction is a start. Adam Howe’s imagination is so far out there, I show more wonder what he’s taking, and I’ll have some please! LOL
The donkey…OMG…the donkey…
As I read his notes about his research, I can only imagine what someone would think if they looked at his browser history.
I love how he makes fun about Nicholas Cage. I love Nic and some of the weird twisted movies he plays in. What’s even funnier, right after I finished reading this, I ended up watching Ghost Rider, a Nicholas Cage movie that, well, you have to see it to ‘believe’ it.
There is a bonus story – Clean Up On Aisle 3 – This is one robbery where the owner has a surprise that you will never see coming…and never want to.

4.5 stars!
This is one of the funniest books I've read in my entire life.
Reggie Levine is the likable bouncer at The Henhouse and just wants to disappear into the men's room with his magazine and do his business. Unfortunately, he's unable to do that. Local used car guru Harry is busy getting his head dunked in the only toilet bowl available and it's making a damn mess. So begins Tijuana Donkey Showdown.
Off the top of my head this story features: an extremely well endowed drug mule, (and show more when I say mule, I mean a jackass and when I say well endowed I mean WELL endowed), a circus strongman, a sexy veterinarian, a gas station/zoo, (WTF??), a Chinese Crested Terrier that likes to hump legs, an overweight stripper and, (wait for it)....Nic Cage. (That's right, he spells it Nic. Supposedly, what do I know?)
I laughed out loud for most of the time I was reading this book. My husband thought I was nuts last night, and my coworkers though the same, just now at lunch. When I thought things could not go more over the top, they did just that.
This story was fast paced and in your face! I recommend it to fans of down and dirty stories that leave no holds barred. You might be offended, you might think it's disgusting, but I guarantee you this-you WILL be laughing. Well done, Mr. Howe! Well done!
