Tony Proscio

A solid chronicle of what local governments, nonprofits, and (especially) residents were doing to try to keep urban neighborhoods viable in the 1990s. This had a heavy emphasis on undoing bad policy decisions of the prior decades, but that's what needed to be done. This would probably be a good candidate for an updated edition given how much has changed in the 20 years since publication, but is unsurprisingly dated until/unless that occurs.
