The builds in this book were as impressive as the first book; I just wasn't as interested in most of the themes. (I did really like the dilapidated architecture builds, though.)

Lego's have been a fascination of mine since I was a small boy. I was always amazed at how you could take these blocks and build just about anything. This is probably the foundation for why I was drawn to engineering. In this book, I was amazed at how far people could take lego art. It is truly wonderful how the human mind can design and build such wondrous things with just plastic blocks that can be linked together. I recommend this book to all lego fans. It has the ability to awe and inspire.

This is a collection of photographs of Lego art by dozens of different artists, whose styles and themes range from nature to architectural landmarks to cyberpunk. It also includes a few short interviews in which featured artists discuss their history with Lego bricks and why they have chosen it as an art form.

It's not surprising that this book spawned two sequel titles—it really is a beautiful collection sure to inspire artists and art lovers alike.

I don't understand how some of these things could have been made with LEGOs, but they are incredibly cool nonetheless. There are plenty of the spaceships and action figures you'd expect, but also rotary phones, crumbling Victorian mansions, cathedrals, birds, dogs, Chinese landscapes, classic cars, scenes from Monty Python skits and Miyazaki movies, and figures like Cap'n Crunch and Stephen Hawking. Fun and inspirational (makes me wish I were more creative).
