Snake Driver! covers ten different aviators who saw service in Vietnam. Rosenburg has put into words all the essential feelings of pilots and infantry as the war progressed to the final withdrawl of the USA. Loach and Slick pilots are also given ample space in this account. Rosenburg has plenty to say and often uses understated language to describe the show more routinely heroic exploits of these men. If you read between the lines, you will find yourself satisfied that the actions of these pilots deserve the care that Rosenburg took to assemble this collection of the little battles that have now become known at the Vietnam War.
