The best kind of goofy, out-there book, like something Mac Barnett and Adam Rex would cook up. A kid wants a pizza with everything on it - not just the regular toppings, but really EVERYTHING. Kid and dad end up creating a pizza black hole, leading to a pizza big bang, and a world made of pizza.

Maybe more 4.5, this is a really nice memoir about art and letting go of things that don't serve you, and the ability we all have to reinvent ourselves. Even if you don't burn your regrets and past issues.

In an exercise of the absurd, a little boy insists he wants a pizza with everything on it. At some point it turns into a black hole. The idea was okay, but the items going onto the pizza seemed totally random, and I think there could have been a more humorous collection that could have gone - maybe one leading to the next in some way, maybe rhymes? In any case, meh.
When they say a pizza with everything on it ... sometimes chefs can take that a little too literally.
