The Principles of Project Management offers exactly what it says: a "big picture" view of how project management works, and how to apply it to a particular project. Various stages of the project timeline are described, but unfortunately, due to the book's general focus, the examples are fairly weak. One of the book's strengths was the focus on "people skills," as they play such an important role in completing projects. Overall, this is a good beginning book, but anyone looking for more show more concrete examples may need to look further. show less
