If you have always fallen for the headless horseman from Sleepy Hollow, then this book is for you! This book is one spicy "treat" of a read!
As soon as I met Jack, I loved him. He was a bit of a tortured soul. His back story will have you rooting for him. Belle is sassy. I love a sassy FMC. The witty banter between her and Jack is awesome.
"I would rather share a life of heartbreak and hardship with you than a hundred lives of safety and happiness. You are my world. I love you."
Warning as I show more did earlier, this book is spicy. In fact, you only get a few chapters in before Emily brings the SPICE. So, if you don't like a lot of spice, avoid this book but if you want all the SPICE, then pick up a copy of this book!
"Bound, in life, in love, in death. Always here. Any nothing can tear us apart." show less

Right away the story starts out with no lead up. This is fine as it really does not need any. Everleigh finds herself trapped in a mansion chased by Acheron. He is obsessed with her. He wants to make her his next living art exhibit.
"His mask invades my dreams every night, I still feel his hands on me."
Once Everleigh gets a taste of Acheron, she can't help herself as she has fallen under his spell. Every time that she wants or feels like saying "no", her inter voice, Cherry is louder as she show more encourages Everleigh to give in. Cherry is a hoot. She is definitely the devil on your shoulder that you should not listen to but know you will anyways as it is more fun.
"Love is the ultimate obsession"
There is non-stop one spicy scene after another. So, I hope you like your heat level HOT!
Emily does warn readers that she writes villains. She is right. Not that there is anything wrong with a villain. As I love a "bad boy". If anything, I would classify Acheron as morally black. If you like sinfully, dark reads that come with lots of trigger warnings, then, you will want to pick up a copy of this book. show less

If you love your men dark and who are a DOM, then, you will LOVE Roman. This is an "instant lust." Roman did not want long before claiming Valentina as his. If you read The Art of Obsession, book one in this series, then, you will not be surprised by all of the spice.
"I'm not a man of routine. I'm an experimentalist by nature. A scientist of sensation."
Emily/Roman gave me so much spicy goodness that my mouth was scorching hot! Yet, this book is not just all about the spice. It has a really show more good storyline that I got lost in (in a great way). I found myself just reading and reading. Grab your copy of this book now!
"The queen of his empire.
The soul to his head.
The jewel of the assassin." show less

I instantly fell in love with Eros. He already was giving Aradia a nickname of "Butterfly". They both felt the strong chemistry between them. Only Eros made the first move.
I laughed so hard when Eros threatened to spank Aradia and she did not think he would. He did with his tail, and she thought "Fifty Shades of Gargoyle".
Crescendo is Eros plaything and lover. He is great. He really brough the humor and is the only one that could get away with poking Eros buttons.
The intimate scenes show more between Eros and Aradia are HOT! Yet, you add in the mix of Crescendo and you do have an inferno. Gargoyle romance for the win! show less
