Destination Happiness: 12 Simple Principles That Will Change Your Life (Change your habits, change your life Book 3) by Marc Reklau
"Destination Happiness" is a quick, easy read focused, naturally, on happiness (surprise!).
I would say that as a Christian, my premise of life is slightly different. Reklau makes happiness the most important thing, or the "ultimate end that we pursue." He quotes Aristotle, who said, "“Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life. The whole aim and end of human existence.” For me as a Christian, my "ultimate end" comes from the Westminster Shorter Catechism: "Man's chief end is to glorify show more God, and to enjoy him forever."
Still, I found quite a bit I could apply to my own Christian life: from the characteristics of the most successful people, to how to create a positive situation for myself.
I do think the book could stand a bit more proofreading, just to correct a few grammatical inconsistencies -- but otherwise, a solid read that you can easily implement.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. All opinions are my own. show less

This book may be useful for folks who need a quick guide to changing their outlook on life, but I found it not only the same as all the other books, but also loud (lots of all caps and bold) and badly edited. If I want to learn about success I prefer something that took the time to respect me as a reader.

Unfortunately this read like an extended advertisement for his previous book. I was hoping to learn about marketing and promotion but there wasn't anything I didn't already know.
