About the Author

Jeraldine Saunders was born Geraldine Loretta Glynn in Los Angeles, California on September 3, 1923. She was a model for about 20 years when she took a job as a cruise ship hostess. After two years as a hostess, she was promoted to cruise director. This experience resulted in the 1974 memoir The show more Love Boats, which inspired three television movies and a television show. Her daughter's death from hypoglycemia lead to her 1980 book Hypoglycemia: The Disease Your Doctor Won't Treat written with Harvey M. Ross. She was a practitioner of numerology and palm reading as well as an astrologer. In 2003, she started writing a syndicated astrology column for the Tribune Company. She died from complications of kidney stone surgery on February 25, 2019 at the age of 95. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
