Volume 1 is all about a lazy panda bear and his friendship with polar bear cafe-owner next door, full of cuteness, Japanese word punning, and the occasional recipe or fun animal fact. Kids who love cute animals will tear through the series, though more sophisticated readers might grow tired or it quickly--still, it's not a bad way to pass an hour of time.
