A terrible book that is also enjoyable. Groteke professed to be Mia Farrow's friend throughout the crazed upset of the 1991-93 break-up with Woody Allen and subsequent scandals. She even seems to have had Farrow's input for early stages of this book, before Farrow tried to stop it being published and the pair never spoke again.
Groteke is obviously keen to cash in on her connection to a few stars, and she does so with aplomb. It's full of juicy tidbits while being largely sympathetic to show more Farrow yet not too misty-eyed. I'm on "Team Woody", so this is not really a book for me. There's also plenty in it that will raise questions as to its veracity at times, although I'm sure many of its insights are accurate.
Trash, but if you're addicted to the Allen/Farrow life, it's a must-read. show less
