Things are not going well in Victoria's life after trying to dip her toes in the dating pool after losing her husband she ends up with a stalker so when a letter arrived that gives her a chance to leave town for a while she takes it even if it is to the last place she ever wanted to return to. The shock of being left the house she always loved to visit when she was growing up is enough to deal with especially as she is of no relation to Alice Mercer, but she also dealing with Alice's show more children who are challenging the will. Fortunately her childhood friend Jordan is back living in town as a lawyer and she has a chance to reconnect with him trying to deal with everything going on including her stalker, someone trying to break into the house and working out what and where she wants to be in life. This is not just a romance and cozy mystery but also about finding your home, love, family secrets and danger as well as opening your heart to new friends and moving on from the past.

With things going from bad to worse for Jenna I was happy, but also sad when she got an unexpected gift from a uncle she never knew she had so never got to know.
This windfall is the new beginning she needs although it isn't all smooth sailing as she tackles bringing life back into her uncles showroom, falling for a guy and danger that could be deadly.
I thoroughly enjoyed the mix of mystery, thrills and great characters.
