"Living Boldly and Shining Brightly for the Glory of God"

Amen! Isn't that what life should be about - shining brightly for God? However, so often we limit worship to just our singing at church. Though Matt Redman is known for his amazing, heartfelt, soul-stirring worship music he and his wife are authors of great books and and their lives reflect a life of living worship. Like every book I have read by either of the Redman's I am utterly amazed!

This book challenges and encourages the reader show more to look at worship in a whole new light. We are to be like a mirrored ball reflecting the glory of God for all the world to see. He shows how our daily living should be approached as an act of worship for God. Each task we put our hands to should be done with the Glory of God in mind.

If each Christian lived this way - sold out to worship - our world would be utterly turned upside down. People would view all things in life differently and the hurting and lost would see light in the midst of their darkness.

I encourage everyone to pick up a copy of this book.

Thank you B&B for this review copy.

This book presents the universe as worshipping its Creator. Each chapter is accompanied by pictures from outer space and contains details meant to wow you with the size and magnitude of the universe. Although this will not convert anyone who is already convinced that the universe is a product of natural causes it will cause the Christian to ponder the scope of creation and our place in it.
In 1 Kings 17:15, we are told that the Israelite people “worshiped worthless idols and became worthless themselves”. What a sobering thought: we become like that which we worship. This means that spending time worshipping God is not only desirable, it is essential to our spiritual transformation. But what exactly is worship? What does it look like? And where do we begin? In "The Unquenchable Worshipper", Matt Redman attempts to answer these questions by exploring the characteristics of show more worshippers whose passion for God could not be quenched. From David, who danced before the Lord with abandon, to Isaiah, who fell face down in humility and awe, to Job, who chose to praise God despite his circumstances and pain, Redman shows us that worship is more than a song, more than a feeling – it is an acknowledgment of who God is. The more we focus on God, the more we will worship – and the more we will become who God desires us to be. show less
I didn't expect too much of this book when I started, but it surprised me. There was more insight than I expected and some really in depth analysis of both this ministry and biblical worship. I already had a great appreciation for some of these artists, and now even more so. Though this is by no means the greatest book ever written on the subject of leading worship, it reminds us of what it is really all about, and what our focus should always be. I recommend it to worship leaders and all show more Christians alike. Even if you're not gonna write music or get up there on the podium, the topics touched upon here are wonderful for all of us to be reminded of. show less
