Short biography
Annette Appollo was of Italian and Jewis ancestry and grew up in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Law School, she became an attorney and practiced mainly in the Washington, DC area. After retiring from law, she wrote "The Last One Home" in 1999. She was very active on the internet and supported many Democratic organizations and themes. Annette suffered a severe leg injury in 2006 that required an extensive hospital stay. After a long recovery period, she returned to her home in Alexandria, VA but her mobility was permanently impaired. With her health declining, Annette chose to take her own life two days before Christmas in 2009. She is remembered by her friends for her biting wit, great intelligence, and incredible sense of humor. Annette is truly missed.
