Includes the M.F.K. Fisher article "One Verse Of A Song". Fisher describes the 1869 Victorian House
(called the Dear Old Lady) in St. Helena, that she bought in 1954 and lived in for many years with her
daughters. The article is illustrated with photos of the "gingerbread" detail of Fisher's former Victorian
house in St. Helena, and a 1969 drawing of the house by Judith Clancy (who did the drawings in Not
a Station but a Place for which Fisher wrote most of the text). Clancy also illustrated show more the dust jackets
for Fisher's book As They Were (both the U.S. and U.K. editions) show less
