A detailed look at the Peers Inquiry by the head of the inquiry, Lt.Gen. Peers. The inquiry was convened to look into what happened in My Lai on the 16th March 1968 in Vietnam. The inquiry was one of the few things relating to My Lai that was done right. Lt.Gen. Peers is very clear in his writing and in how involved and complex the inquiry was. He details the actions of Task Force Barker, why the massacre took place, how it was covered up and who was responsible. He wanted around 30 Officers show more prosecuted, including a Major-General and two Chaplains. In the end only one Officer was convicted. He makes clear the problems within Task Force Barker and puts together in one place so much information relating to the massacre. A very solid and informative book on the My Lai massacre. show less
