I wasn't paying attention to the title of this book, and mistakenly thought that "Anonymous" in the title meant that the book was written by "Anonymous" although I know Tim Miller wrote it, I thought it was a book Tim Miller wrote that was "written" by an anonymous serial killer. Anyhow, once I realized that wasn't the case, the title make much more sense.
You know how a frog can sit in a pot of water and not notice it's boiling as the heat is slowly turned up? Until it's too late and you show more now have frog soup? This is what that book is like.
The frog is Mary, an everyday psychologist who somehow manages to go from bad to worse situations with first one then two and finally three different serial killers who all know each other and were introduced to Mary by David- a Dexter wannabe who decided that Mary would be a great "sponsor" to call whenever he feels the urge to kill.

Besides Miller's customary gore-fest, Suicide Hotline is also a deeply felt social commentary and a conspiracists wet dream! Five stars for not only making me watch initial reports more closely for signs of multiple gunmen in black fatigues, but also for the author having the cojones to publish this during such turbulent times. This is not a story for the sheep; this is a story for the fact-seekers, the truth-junkies, and the intelligent. It's also really, really sad, violent, and show more terrifying. I loved it! show less
When your dad is a psycho who likes to kill and eat the "long pig", and your mom has no idea... When Daddy Dearest is also teaching the KIDS the finer points of cannibalism... You might be reading a Tim Miller book. Sick, dark, twisted, and depraved? Oh yes, all that and more! This book will make you want to lock your doors and hide under the bed, seriously! If I had to compare it to some of his other books, I'd say that Family Night was more gruesome, yet less scary. The scariest part for show more me was the realization that these were all just people, no supernatural causes... This kind of thing could really happen! show less
This story comes screaming off the pages at you in the beginning and dares you to look away. Don't. Look. Away. You won't be able to. This a fast paced eerie tale of a seeming mentally ill girl brought in to a hospital by an honest police officer going beyond his call of duty. It quickly escalates into an insane battle of good and evil, demons from Hell and mind games galore. It was well written, well researched and definitely exciting. I found it unique in the version of possession and show more exorcism techniques. The overall story was startling and great to read, with lights on. show less
