For a 4 grade and up book, this is a very detailed book from a true motorhead. Most children's books on motorsports only cover NASCAR or popular drivers. This book goes into great depth covering the history of motorsports, explaining what I would consider little known facts (the origin of the checkered flag) and for each type of racing, the various sub categories of each racing type. It also makes the case for race car drivers being athletes, children who are racers and a contact for more show more information list. This book is awesome. A tip of the hat to the author and publisher for writing a well written book. show less
