School Spirit takes afterlife drama into the halls of middle school with humor, rivalry, and a ghostly twist. Lucy, dead but far from done, is juggling the usual teen issues—boyfriends, friendships, school clubs—except now she’s also dealing with life (or after-life) as a ghost. The story explores what it means to find closure, have regrets, and hold on to parts of life that were left unfinished. With fun ghostly skills (like mind reading), a vivid nemesis in Georgia Sinclaire, and the show more chaos of a school spirit competition, it’s light enough for younger readers but still delivers emotional stakes. Good for readers who enjoy supernatural stories with humor and a touch of teen conflict. show less
Lucy’s world really comes alive in Drama—her school’s attempt at a Shakespeare comedy quickly spirals into comedic chaos when ghost-boy Miles enters the frame. Caught between her crush and a mischievous spirit, Lucy must navigate rehearsals, teenage drama, and the afterworld. Zuravicky blends wit, ghostly twists, and relatable school life with gentle themes of friendship, courage, and finding one’s place. A fun, spooky read for middle‑grade fans looking for lighthearted fantasy show more with heart. show less
Lucy is back at Limbo Central Middle School—yep, still a ghost—and now she’s crushing on a fellow phantom, Andrew. But when a feud between the dance club and the cheerleaders breaks out, things in the afterlife get messy fast. Can Lucy keep her cool, win Andrew’s heart, and bring peace to the hallways of the hereafter?
C is for City is artistcally awesome. Whoever said stick figures were not a form of art!! This alphebet book is similar to others except the illustrations. I love how it incorporates photos and stick figures to make this book have more character than one would think of when thinking of stick figures. Next time someone says that all they can draw are stick figures, I plan on refering them to this book for inspiration!!
