Written by a long-time CIA employee, much of this book covers simple, "common sense" methods of retaining employees and proprietary knowledge, but it goes beyond the mundane to provide a comprehensive view of the "how-to" side of intelligence and espionage.

Well-researched, well-documented, and detailed, if this book were read carefully and its lessons implemented across the board, any company should be able to keep most of it's business and intellectual property to itself. Also, most (if show more not all) business- and state-sponsored operations against a company would become much easier to detect, thwart, and litigate successfully.

I especially enjoyed the extensive explanation of "trade-craft secrets" throughout the book.
