The Vinedresser's Notebook: Spiritual Lessons in Pruning, Waiting, Harvesting & Abundance by Judith Sutera
Judith Sutera, a Benedictine Sister, has written a wonderful spiritual guide using the metaphor of the vinedresser. The book is filled with sketches of how to tend a vineyard. The section of text after each vine dressing lesson relates how each step in tending to grapevines holds spiritual lessons. Sutera’s calm, gentleness, and wisdom come through in her writing. Reading her book is akin to meditating. She renews the reader’s connection with self, community, and God. This book is show more appropriate for anyone on a spiritual journey regardless of their faith tradition. Even readers who do not identify with organized religion will benefit from reading this wise guide. show less
