This book contains information that ranges from the seriously practical (making ink from walnuts, bookbinding) through things that only fine artists do (printmaking with rusty objects) to the eccentric (darning damaged acorns). Pictures are plentiful and beautiful, sometimes in an "Ah the lovely natural world" way and sometimes more "abandoned Detroit has its charms."

Now, I rather fancy darning a few acorns.

I first started this years ago when it was still updating, and unfortunately lost track of it a few times. I picked it up again to discover it's completed. The art is still beautiful, the story is wonderfully complex and well-written, and I love the cast. A good webcomic turned graphic novel trilogy if you're ever interested.
