It is wonderful to have a royal movie that doesn't take place in a palace, but in a Connecticut Inn. Osnes and Tveit are fantastic in not only their acting but their singing. One of my favorites is Victoria Clark as Queen Gabriella. Her comedic timing and her quiet compassion really pushes the movie away from 'royalty' and more to 'family'. This is my # 2 Christmas movie, after "Christmas Waltz". What a coincidence that both movies use that Christmas song.
Ashley Williams is always so much fun but to see Ryan Paevey have fun too is Hallmark gold. Absolutely love this movie. Great for a pick-me-up even though they both started out brokenhearted. That quickly changes. I laugh through the whole movie.
