LOVE this for the fun and festive illustrations AND the recipes.

Perfect for a non-Italian cook (like me) unaware of the delicious and quickly made varieties other than red and cheese sauces. A good three quarters of the book is devoted to pasta with "vegetable" sauces, including:
Basil, Walnuts, Eggplant, Lemon, Mushrooms, Artichokes, Zucchini, Spinach, Cauliflower, Black Olives, Sweet Peppers, Asparagus, Peas, Pumpkin, Chick peas, Lentils, etc.

Delicious!

From a sense of easy with lots of available ingredients; this book is great! I have given this as a gift for many years. My favorite recipes is the Spaghetti with Courgette Flowers. This was my first taste of zucchini blossoms . . . what a superb way to keep the zucchini plants under control!
Not a whole lot of vegan recipes in this book, but I definitely look forward to trying a few of these recipes out. I eat pasta so frequently that it'll be nice to try a few new sauces out!
