945 The Coming of the Italian-Ethiopian War, by George W. Baer (read 26 Feb 1968) I found this book revelatory and it caused me to understand better the difficulty of decision facing Britain and France, lacking as they did the gift of foresight.
Assigned reading for multiple case studies in S&W at the NWC. I read pages 189-205 and 222-231 for WWII in Europe case study and referenced multiple times in my paper on Allied strategy in Europe, arguing against the inevitability of Allied victory due to resource superiority. These sections specifically focused on the material impact of the German U-boat campaign against the US in the Atlantic.
