I found this story entertaining. However, I will admit that it has a slow start, what with Vaux's house-buying dilemma, I found that to be an unneccessary part of the story. Some people might have stopped reading then, but I soldered on, and the story does pick up from there. The title of this book becomes apparent as one reads along. For all the time spent on the issue of Vaux's house, I would have liked to learn more about the history of the Middle East since it was so important to Vaux. show more The ending has a twist that I (sort of) saw coming. Overall good book. show less
