While the "charm book" is what it purports to be--gardening with the company of two dogs with interesting watercoloring illustrations--it does not have "story-telling" interest, and fails to impart botanical tips or philosophical insights.
Having said that, this is a profound call to action and simple living. After quoting Voltaire and a Crosby Stills & Nash song, this accomplished illustrator/artist, wakes up, then naps in his garden hammock, and dreams: "Plant a lot of plants.
