Critique:
Genre: In this book, Herbie and Raymond are typical boys in third grade, who struggle with their roles in the classroom in comparison to the other students, such as Annabelle. The boys deal with typical issues such as family money troubles and parents arguing. The book is very realistic and contains issues that many students could relate to.
Character: Herbie is a round character in this story. The reader learns about Herbie through the narrator, his actions with the other show more characters, and the dialogue. He changes over time as he learns how to forgive Raymond for spending the $2 that they had earned. show less
