Author Robin Fields promises that each recipe in her air-fryer cookbook consists of “simple, easy-to-find ingredients, has five or fewer steps, and takes 30 minutes or less from start to finish.” She kept her promise — and how!

Ranging from Blackberry-Baked Oatmeal to Cheesy Bean Dip to Crispy Parmesan Asparagus to Sweet Heat Pork Chops and plenty more, the recipes in this cookbook will be a blessing for overworked moms struggling to get food on the table for her family, busy with show more sports, choir and more. Fields even has a recipe for Crispy Crab Rangoon, which is so pricy at restaurants and now hard-to-find at Costco. Thank you! Any cook would love, love to save time and electricity (and prevent an overly hot kitchen in the summer) with this cookbook. Highly recommended!

In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley and Adams Media in exchange for an honest review.

I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley.

I bought an air fryer/toaster oven all of two weeks ago, and was approved for this brand-new cookbook all of a week later. I felt like the Book Gods had smiled upon me!

This book of 5-ingredient recipes is apparently one in a series of air fryer cookbooks. One important note straight-up: a lot of the recipes actually have more than 5 ingredients as things like flour, sugar, salt and pepper, and vanilla extract are show more regarded as freebies that most cooks will have around. That's fair, I suppose, but the title could have also been changed to something more accurate that was still catchy.

After explaining how air fryers work, the book quickly gets into the recipes. There are sections on breakfast, appetizers and snacks, side dishes, chicken, beef and pork, fish and seafood, vegetarian mains, and desserts. As the cookbook started, I was disappointed that a lot of the recipes didn't seem much different from the booklet that came with my air fryer, but as it continued, I appreciated the greater variety of recipes it offered. Unfortunately, there are only a few photographs in each section.

In the end, I found several new recipes I intend to try out in my newest kitchen gadget. While I do wish the book had included more of interest--and more photographs--I do feel that this series is one to watch, as I liked the variety of foods they described.

Air frying has become very popular. In this book, 175 “easy” recipes are presented with common ingredients and simple steps.

Well organized, the book begins with the basics of air frying as well as some tips, including accessories you might want to purchase to enhance your air frying experience. I liked that there were no exotic spices called for. I hate when a recipe needs something that you have to buy and use maybe once or twice! The recipes are interesting, diverse, and I appreciated show more the vegetarian section. Each recipe includes the hands on preparation time as well as nutritional content. Because this was a DRC, I missed having photos of all the dishes; I believe they are present in the final copy of the book.

As I just received this copy, I haven’t attempted any yet, but I have a list that I can’t wait to try, starting with the panko-crusted mahi mahi and moving on to the strawberry galette.

Thank to #NetGalley and @adams_media for the DRC.
