This article explores sociological data that provides insights necessary for youth ministry in the 21st century. Using adolescents as informants, the author provides mature undersanding of the nature of the adolescent world. Grounded in the research of the LINK Institute at Huntington College, youth ministers can gain understanding and develop strategies for effective outreach into current adolescent cultures.

In this article the author makes a case for an educational blueprint which, when followed with some flexibility, ought to guide those who are in the youth ministry training/teaching field.
