This book is the story of Greece being royally shafted by the EEC. It charts the hope of fight; the rise of a genuine party of the left, Syriza and the capitulation to the might of Angela Merkel and the Euro rulers.
The author is very critical of the Syriza movement but, finally comes to the conclusion that the system is unbeatable unless a mass movement of revolt is created in Europe. For the people of Britain, it is chilling to realise that these militant fighters saw the threat of being show more outside the camp as worse than the inequities of the system. show less
