Many of these cartoons are very dated and politically incorrect - but they're funny and give an interesting slant on the social history of their time.
The History of the World According to Giles: 50 years of headlines as seen by the 20th Century's greatest cartoonist by Carl Giles
A compilation of Giles cartoons that has some structure (unlike recent annuals, which they should stop publishing) and puts Giles' work in its historical context, which is especially useful for those too young to know or remember the details.
Not especially well written, but the basic material is interesting and the cartoons, as ever, are classics.
Not especially well written, but the basic material is interesting and the cartoons, as ever, are classics. Useful for clarifying exactly who is related to who and how!
