Based on his experience as a deliverance minister over the past 30 years, the author recounts some of the divine appointments he received. He grouped them into thematic chapters showing how the demonic realm can influence people, Christians and non-Christians alike. He wanted to answer some of the questions that family, friends and church members have asked him regarding what it means for someone to be set free from such influences.
What all of these stories provide is evidence that the show more demonic realm is real. It exists. However, given Jesus' redemptive action through His death and resurrection, it has been defeated. Christians have the authority to confront this defeated, but still active, demonic darkness to set its captives free.
The author does not provide a theological nor a clinical psychological theory about such darkness and the deliverance from it, but he presents true experiences (with names changed) that he has had. Anyone building theological or psychological explanations of the demonic would have to take such experiences into account. The author provides many of them in his book.
The book is readable and thought-inspiring. For those who would like to be in such ministries this would be a valuable how-to guide. Those who think they might be influenced by such darkness should also find this book helpful to understand what is going on. They may be able to free themselves or at least become aware of their need for assistance.
This is the author's first book, but I understand that he has more experiences to report. I look forward to reading them. show less
