A collection of 13 recipes with an introduction to the uses, benefits etc of the spice in root form. Two of the recipes were ones I had not seen before.
There were pictures of the final products but it was not always evident which was which. The recipes instructions were sketchy especially for a novice. All in all I would not recommend purchase of this book, which I was given via the library thing website in the free giveaways.

I recently just read this "book" ? Is it a book, I do not know. Yes, I did read Fifty Shades of Grey, all three books in fact, and yes, I do agree with many of the points brought up by Mr. Kay. The reason I read it was to see what all the hubbub was about, not to agree with Christian Grey's sexual preferences. There were times when yes, I wanted to throw the book in the wastebasket, but human nature does rules sometimes. I personally will never read the trilogy again, that I know. It was a show more demoralizing book on women sad to say, and I can see by Mr Kay's statistical information how this kind of story can attribute to sick behaviors by others. I am not sure if I can give Mr Kay's " book" a high rating as it is more like a publication rather than an actual book but it does point out some valuable information about E.L. James' trilogy. I won this book from librarything.com in return for an unbiased review of Mr. Kay's book, and no monetary award was given to me. show less

Only 28 pages long, this booklet is a collection of a few ginger recipes and some photos. Two of the recipes have the same photo, and one or two of the others look as if they were taken of the same batch of cookies. I suspect all the photos were acquired online as they are far more professional than the book show more itself.

The writer shows no skill at descriptive or recipe writing. The few pages of technical descriptions of ginger and its uses are grossly inadequate for a published book. Mr. Kay's sentence structures are weak. At one point he seems to say that people pull up the fresh root (rhizome, technically), peel it and bite off a chunk. Nonsense. I challenge Mr. Kay to tell us where that is common practice.

The recipes are only for ginger cookies and breads, there is nothing provided to help the reader explore the other wonderful uses of ginger.

All in all, this is a waste of time and possibly illegal.

Received as part of the Member Giveaway program. I was really hoping for some interesting ginger recipes for cooking, not just baking; especially since "breakfast, lunch and dinner" are part of the title. Some of the recipes look interesting, though.
