Marquis de Lafayette: French Hero of the American Revolution (Library of American Lives and Times) by Gregory Payan
A pretty good book, well suited for kids. I read it because I wanted to learn something about him, but not listen to hours of maneuvers in colonial counties during the American Revolution. That worked...I got just enough Lafayette to suit me. It was very readable/listenable.
