Reviews
Here are the reviews of this book from some students of mine:
I like when the author put some real things in the story and some not real things in the story. Like in the story the dog is yellow but the real dog of the Hoover Dam was black. And I kind of recommend this story because I like how they put some fake facts and some real facts. It's an interesting story too. I recommend this story to someone that likes dogs in stories.

I like this book because it has history. Example: there show more was a dog at Hoover Dam. They fed him at a cafeteria, just like in the book. My favorite part was when the president came. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read. I would give two thumbs up to like this book.

I do not recommend this book because it is not funny or interesting like fiction or non-fiction. If you like historical fiction than you will like this book.

What's my opinion of Champ of Hoover Dam? My opinion is that book was fake. Why? Because this Champ in the book was a golden dog. The real dog of the Hoover Dam had black fur and the real name of the dog was not Champ it was Nig. The fake dog in the book doesn't die, but when we researched the real dog it said the dog did die under a truck which is sad. The fake one is with a little girl, the real one is with an adult guy. In the book the girl character was smiling in every page of the book, even when there was sad things happening.
