Not really an autobiography as there was no mention of his first 3 wives and only a brief mention of his daughter. Instead, Bellamy discussed history of theatre, vaudeville, stage, film, television. He would take specific incidents in his life and then have someone else who was involved comment on them. So when he discussed the Irish Mafia (which consisted of James Cagney, Frank McHugh, Frank Morgan, Spencer Tracey, Lynne Overman, and Bellamy) we had responses to a letter from Frank McHugh. show more When he talked about the film My Favorite Wife, we had comments from Irene Dunne. I found the discussion of the Irish Mafia most interesting as they are among my favorite actors and learned some new things about them. The discussion of Bellamy's role as FDR during the play and film of Sunrise at Campobello was great as well as the discussion of Bellamy's and Charles Farrell creation of the Racquet Club in Palm Springs. Highly recommended. show less
