This was a super adorable story. In this book, Peter and his stuffed polar bear go on a huge adventure, school. Pete is a little nervous because it's the first time he is going to school without his mom and Polo the bear is nervous when they get there because he is the only teddy bear that is not brown. In the end this turns out to be a good thing because when Pete goes outside for recess, all the children leave their teddy bears in a big pile and when they come back Pete is able to quickly show more find Polo without any troubles. This book does a great job at depicting some of the innocent worries that young children might have before their big first day of school. show less

Pete and Polo go everywhere together, so Pete is at a bit of a loss when Polo can't be found. Little readers will have fun spotting Polo while Pete looks for him, and this book would be a great tool for parents attempting to reassure kids that it is okay for toys to get a wash in the washing-machine now and then.

Adorable illustrations, loveable characters and simple text. A real delight.
The title I read was slightly different - Pete and Polo Farmyard Fun.

Pete's first day at school he gets introduced to another kid that it was his first day too. Everybody in his class had a teddy bear just like him but their's were a brown bear and not a polar bear like his. Pete played outside games with the other children.
