A most disappointing book, I'm sorry to say. Poorly edited, barely designed at all, and extremely uneven in its content. Nick Groom's foreword is worth reading, as are Mary-Ann Constantine's essay on Iolo Morganwg and Michael Keevak on Psalmanazar. Richard Littlejohns on Wolfgang Hildesheimer sent me in search of Hildesheimer's fictional biography Marbot, which I'm looking forward to. With the possible exceptions of those, skip this one without a qualm.
"...Theories about the Kennedy assassination now comprise a vast industry, with literally thousands of books on the subject. Many of these have a specific agenda, or get bogged down in the minutiae of forensic point scoring. This deceptively concise book assesses the vast body of Kennedy literature, both official and unofficial, shows how this event has been represented in many different forms, from journalism to novels, and from unofficial reports to conspiracy theories..."
