The Game Informer magazine is the video game enthusiast’s best friend. The recurring features include feedback from consumers of the magazine, the connect section complete with their Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo report cards for the year, along with interviews from various individuals in the game industry, and game reviews. The reviews are scored on a scale of one to ten with the numerical score contributing to a possible platinum, gold, silver, or game of the month awards. The games show more reviewed are judged on the following: concept, graphics, sound, playability, entertainment, and replay value. In this special edition, the writers have ranked their favorite games showcased in the Electronic Entertainment Expo in their Hot 50 list. Sixty pages filled with detailed summaries of the ins and outs of each of the fifty, including basic information of the platform, style, publisher, developer, and release date. The entire issue is loaded with photographs, mostly of high quality screen shots as well as lots small text providing plenty for the patron to read and catch up on.
