Put all preconceived notions about these types of books aside. This is not one giant sausage and sex fest. This book was amazing. I will read this author over and over. This book had me laughing my ass off...at work, in the break room, where I looked like a lunatic, but I didn't care. This book had me laughing, crying, and gave me all the feels.
I am not going to rehash the plot. Y'all can read that on ya own. If you have read any of my reviews, I just give it to you straight, and you can do show more with it as you will. Now that being said. Buy the book...by the shit out of it, because it is amazing. The author tells the story in first person, between all the characters! I had never seen this before, and at first I was unable to deal, because it was just overload. But it works so perfectly when you have a story like this. If you do one thing and one thing only. Buy this book. I cannot say enough about it. show less
4.4 stars

This took me a little bit to get into because I was a little lost at whether this was Hope's story with Jor or Finn's story continued, especially as Jor was definitely not one of Finn's men. However, once the story got into full swing I was hooked. The bantering and sass coming from Hope was hilarious. I loved her snark.

I liked the Segway into the next story. I'm really looking forward to where this goes next.

I really had trouble deciding on how many stars to give this one. It started off really well. Then it slowed to a crawl. Then picked up again. This cycle seemed to show more repeat itself throughout the story.
You start off really liking both Bethany and Daniel Stone. But somewhere down the line, the author changes them both into idiots. By the end of the story their characters are somewhat redeemed, but it put me off.
My final problem with the story is the details. There are often little details written in that seem like filler. They are unnecessary and bog you down. While there are other details needed to enhance the story that are missing.
You may think that I didn't like this book from my 3 star rating and my comments above. Let me fix that. I did like the story. It was interesting. I enjoyed most of it. There were a few minor editing problems. But they didn't really effect the story line.
I have very mixed feelings about this one.
