While I liked the idea of a homeless girl being clever enough to hide in plain sight, I also felt there were problems. I think the relationship between Seung and Lindon was too confusing; she likes him but is lusting after Reed Clemings. He likes her but is happily entertaining Bea’s affections. It just felt too deliberately angsty for my tastes and took them too long to sort it out. Also when the truth came out about Bea’s abuser, how it was revealed didn’t feel right either but I show more can’t talk about why without giving too much away. Overall, an interesting read but there were parts that didn’t ring as true as I’d have liked. show less
