I believe an author colors his/her work with knowledge, from personal experience as well as from outside sources. It doesn’t matter if the work is fiction or non-fiction there is always a bias. Same is true of the reader we filter through a similar lens.

I chose to read a genre, mysteries and cozy mysteries, these form a partial escapism from too much information filtered into my daily life by radio, TV, neighbors, conversations, bits n pieces heard in the grocery store, etc.

This story is show more too political for my palette. It may not be for others, but it is the reason for the 2-star rating. I don’t plan on reading more by this author. show less
