An angry man interviews Mr. Rogers.
3/4 (Good).
I don't like movies about angry men, and I don't like biopics, but I guess Mr. Rogers is the magic ingredient to make either of those stories work.

This is a very strange film & not at all what I expected. I am not American so I don't have the knowledge or nostalgia for Mr Rogers (though I did love the little Toy Town they had as part of the film).
It was just a family drama really and TBH I got a bit bored in the middle and wanted it to end. So really not my thing.

Summary:Two-time Oscar®-winner Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about empathy, kindness, and decency from America's most beloved neighbor
2021 movie #154. 2019. Not a biopic about Mr. Rogers but the true story of a cynical magazine writer sent to interview Mr. Rogers, and how the experience changed his life for the better. Nice film.
