Really enjoyed this one: fast paced with crackling dialogue. A vexillation of the IX Hispana legion disappears mysteriously near Parthia and a group of frumentarii led by Malorix, a Sarmatian, is sent to find what happened to them, including their leader, a high-ranking centurion. A bit of fantasy thrown in for good measure.
